Program Description

Massachusetts, Maine, and Connecticut have or are in the process of implementing paid family and medical leave, and other states across the country are also moving forward. Each state has its own rules and regulations, a number of new vendor solutions have been introduced to the marketplace and HR departments are determining the best ways to navigate the new leave laws.  All of this raises many questions and concerns for LOA administrators and other HR professionals.

Attend this program to hear what others are doing and get your questions answered.

  • How is the paid leave landscape changing?

  • What are the implementation minefields organizations are experiencing?

  • How do you effectively communicate new policies while planning for staffing shortfalls?

  • What are the best practices for implementing new paid leave policies in Massachusetts and coordinating policies across multiple states?

  • How do you evaluate your selected solution or consider changing solutions in the future?

Program Bonus:

  • Choose the breakout session best for you: (1) self-insured, private leave program solutions or (2) MA state leave plan solution.

In these interactive sessions, you’ll hear from employers that have picked a vendor or the state solution. Find out why and how they made their decisions and what policies they’re wrestling with. In the state session, you’ll hear from an employer that is evaluating a switch to a vendor solution.

  • Spend the end of the program networking and connecting with the speakers and other peers and colleagues.

  • Reflect with Karen Bishop, Head of Total Awards, North America at MilliporeSigma, on key lessons discovered during today’s program.
